This is a nicely-engineered, compulsive grind of a game, if you lean toward those (like I do). You spend several rounds working out the mechanics, then grind away at it until you finish. "Oh, I've got a couple minutes, I can squeeze in a round." Some reviewers mentioned having to build up skills--or something--by doing the boss rematches, but I never did that, so you don't have to. The singing bard who taunts you between rounds is amusing, but his repertoire runs out pretty quickly.

So. damn. good. Reminds me of Darkest dungeon, slay the spire and boss monster whilst still being entirely original! Love all of the mechanics, and whilst the tutorial stops a bit short the UI and gameplay is self explanatory enough to work it out. I like that it is possible to make (albeit limited) progress even when falling missions so that grinding is possible but not necessary. Also props to the bard and whoever wrote his lines they really add a nice touch!
